Robert Resis, a Northbrook resident, is currently serving his sixth year on the Board. He represents the Board on the Northbrook Economic Development Committee and has been the Board's representative on the Illinois Association of School Boards. Resis also serves on the Temple Beth-El Northbrook Board of Directors. He is an intellectual property attorney who earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and his JD from Northwestern University School of Law. Resis is a principal shareholder with Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. Resis has a daughter who graduated from District 31 and is attending Glenbrook North High School and a daughter who graduated from District 31 who is attending the University of Illinois. Mr. Resis' current term will expire in April of 2021.

Laura Greenberg, a Northbrook resident, is currently serving her sixth year on the Board. She represents the Board on the Stakeholder Financial Advisory Committee and has also been the Board's District 31 Education Foundation representative. Greenberg earned her BS in Marketing at Northern Illinois University and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School. She has also served on the Northern Illinois Girl Scouts Board. Greenberg works in executive management. She has a son in grade eight at Field, a son in grade three at Winkelman and a son who will soon be at Winkelman. Ms. Greenberg's current term will expire in April of 2021.
Melissa Choo Valentinas

Melissa Choo Valentinas, a Glenview resident, is serving her fourth year on the Board. She is the Board representative for the North Suburban Special Education Department and is also active on the Board of Directors Urban Gateways. Valentinas is an attorney. She is a graduate of Connecticut College and the University of Illinois College of Law. Valentinas has three children, a son in grade eight at Field and a son in grade six at Field, and a daughter who is in preschool. Ms. Valentinas' current term will expire in April of 2021.

Nancy Hammer, a Glenview resident, is currently serving her second year on the Board. She represents the Board on the Glenview Planning Commission. Mrs. Hammer earned her BS in Computer Science and Marketing from Roosevelt University. She worked in computer sales for 22 years and pharmaceutical sales for 3 years and is the Director of Physician Relations for the Alden Network. Mrs. Hammer has been active in the District #31 Parent Teacher Club for 5 years acting as a PTC Board member, the Winkelman fundraising chairperson, and the main committee member of spiritwear. She also served as the Parent Teacher Organization Chairperson at St. David's Preschool for 3 years. Mrs. Hammer has a son in grade five and a daughter in grade four. Ms. Hammer's current term will expire in April of 2021.
Term Expires: 2021Jeffrey Steres, a Northbrook resident, is currently serving his second year on the Board. He represents the Board on the Illinois Association of School Boards. Mr. Steres earned his BS in Computer Science at the University of Michigan and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Technology Executive working for Capgemini. Mr. Steres has a daughter in grade five and a daughter in grade three at Winkelman. Mr. Steres' current term will expire in April of 2021.
Daphne Frank Secretary
Term expires: 2023Daphne Frank, a Northbrook resident, is serving her fourth year on the Board. She is the Board representative for the Education Foundation, for which she co-chaired the Family Fun Run/Walk and Winter Benefit and is a member of the District 31 PTC Hospitality Committee. She is a swim coach for Glenbrook Aquatics in Northbrook and is Assistant Director of Swim America. Prior to these positions she worked for Athletico for six years. Frank is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. She has a son in grade eight at Field and a daughter in grade five at Winkelman. Ms. Frank's current term will expire in April of 2023.
Dr.Maria J Vasilopoulos
Term expires: 2023Dr. Maria J. Vasilopoulos, a Northbrook resident, is currently serving her first year on the Board of education. She serves as District 31's School Board representative for The Illinois Association of School Boards. Dr. Vasilopoulos earned her B.A. from Northwestern University, her M.S. Ed. in School Administration from Northwestern University and her Doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Psychology from Loyola University. She has over 22 years experience in education and school administration. She currently serves as the instructional supervisor for Mathematics at Glenbrook North High School. Dr. Vasilopoulos lives with her husband and two children, one who is entering first grade at Winkelman and one who will be entering Winkelman as a kindergartener next fall. Her current term will expire in April of 2023.
