Nicole Schramm Selected as Director of Finance and Operations and Chief School Business Official

West Northfield School District 31 welcomes Nicole Schramm to the community as the new Director of Finance and Operations and Chief School Business Official. Among many other important duties, Ms. Schramm will be leading the financial operations of the District. 

Schramm most recently served seven years as Fiscal Services Manager at Glenbrook High School District 225. In addition, Ms. Schramm is currently working on her Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies through Northern Illinois University. She succeeds Mrs. Cathy Lauria, who retired in June. 

“District 31 is pleased to welcome Ms. Schramm to our community. She brings a wealth of leadership, passion, and experience from her years in education and previous positions,” said Superintendent Dr. Erin Murphy. “She is passionate about continuing to provide fiscal stability and transparency to our community and eager to be a part of our collaborative environment as we prepare for the fall.”

Schramm began her business career as the Business Office Manager at Westwood College. She then served as the Accounting Coordinator at Northbrook/Glenview 30 before transitioning to District 225. 

“I am honored to have been given an opportunity to join the West Northfield School District 31 community, and I am excited to continue the work of fulfilling our mission of empowering every student,” said Ms. Schramm.   

Ms. Schramm has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Systems Security from Westwood College, a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University, and a Master of Education in School Business Management from Northern Illinois University. Through Northern Illinois University, she earned a graduate certificate in Public Management and completed the Illinois Association of School Business Officials Leadership Institute.
