PTO February 2026 Newsletter

Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕

After a quieter January, we’re jumping into February with lots of energy and excitement. This month is packed with fun ways to fundraise, volunteer, and celebrate together—so get ready to join in!

If you’re looking for opportunities to give back, we have two wonderful volunteer events coming up. On February 5th, tap into your creative side by making Valentine’s cards for children in hospitals. All ages are welcome, and we’ll provide all the materials—just bring your smiles! Then on March 5th, we’ll put our muscles to work helping sort and label donated books at Bernie’s Book Bank.

We’re also excited for another restaurant fundraiser at Dengeos on February 4th. Order anytime that day for dine-in, carry-out, or even gift cards to use later. Be sure to mention District 31 PTO, and don’t forget to spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors!

Another February highlight is our annual Glow Party on February 27th! ✨ Tickets and neon t-shirts will be available for presale again this year. Our theme is “Oh the Places You’ll Glow!”, so break out your best Dr. Seuss–inspired creations and show off those
dance moves. More details and volunteer sign-ups will be coming very soon—stay tuned!

Looking ahead to March, our third General Meeting is set for March 9th. We will be discussing next year’s PTO Executive Board positions and answering questions about those positions. With several open board seats and longtime volunteers moving on, this
is a great opportunity for new families to get involved. Many hands make light work. Even small roles make a big difference in supporting our students and teachers.

Also, keep an eye out for our Pi Day STEM event signups later this month. We have lots of great activities planned. Space is limited and will fill up quickly. We can’t wait to see you at these upcoming events and appreciate all the ways you help support our
school community!
