PTO Newsletter - June 2025

Passing the Torch
The PTO is proud to sponsor this year’s graduation activities as we celebrate our amazing students and all they’ve accomplished:

  • Eighth Grade Graduation Party & Breakfast
  • Farewell to Fifth
  • Preschool Graduation

Congratulations to all our graduates—we’re so proud of you! As the school year comes to a close, we’re also excited to welcome the new PTO Board for the upcoming year:

  • President: Cynthia Foster
  • Treasurer: Laura Stone
  • Secretary: Sarah Goldman

However, there are still four key positions open that are essential to keeping the PTO strong and active:

  • Social VP,
  • Fundraising VP,
  • Communications VP and
  • Community Relations VP

We encourage you to consider volunteering—your time and talents are what make all our amazing events and programs possible.
As we step down, we want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as PTO Presidents. It’s been an honor to work with such a caring and committed community. Here's to continued success and celebration in the years ahead!

A huge thank you to our amazing Teacher Appreciation Committee for making this week so special for our staff! Committee Members: Betsy Berman, Molly Frank, Sarah Goldman, Sakina Kadakia and Jill Mroz!
We’re so grateful for all the thoughtful touches throughout the week:

Submit Reimbursement Receipts
If you have any outstanding receipts for reimbursement, please turn them in as soon as possible. We will be closing the books on June 10th to prepare for the transition to the new PTO board.

Chill Out, Peace Out!
Join us for a sweet sendoff to summer! The Kona Ice Truck will be at Winkelman on the last full day of school: Thursday, June 5 from 2:40–4:40 PM.

Glow Below the Sea
The Glow Party was a fantastic, well-attended event that brought together children and adults for an evening of fun in a vibrant, under-the-sea-themed setting. Creative neon decorations—like glowing fish and jellyfish—helped set the scene for a truly magical night.
This memorable event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing Glow Party committee and volunteers, who thoughtfully planned every detail.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and attended. Your support made this special night a glowing success!

Field Day
The PTO is excited to sponsor Field Day surprises at BOTH schools! Plans are still underway, but we can’t wait to celebrate and send all our students off with some extra fun to wrap up the year!


As our time as PTO VPs of Communications comes to an end, we would like to say thank you for letting us be part of your inbox, bulletin boards, and backpacks! It’s been a joy creating flyers and newsletters to help keep our amazing community connected.  We are so grateful for your support and enthusiasm. Wishing you all a wonderful summer!
