PTO September 2024 Newsletter
Welcome Back D31 Families
Welcome back to another exciting school year! We hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a fantastic year of learning, growth, and fun. As we gear up for the new school year, we want to extend a warm invitation to all of you to join the District 31 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).
Being a part of the PTO is a fantastic way to stay connected with what's happening in our schools, build relationships with other D31 families, and support our dedicated teachers and staff. When you join the PTO, you become part of a community that works together to enhance the educational experience for all our students. We organize events, fundraisers, and programs that directly benefit our children!
We encourage you to attend our first PTO meeting of the year, on Wednesday, September 11, where you can learn more about our plans, share your ideas, and find out how you can get involved. Together, we can make this school year the best one yet!

D31 Caring Corner
Hunger Resource Network, a Northbrook-based non-profit, to serve 160 students across 12 public elementary and middle schools through the Student Food Pack program. This program provides supplemental lunches and snacks to families eligible for free or reduced lunch.
The Hunger Resource Network also supports the D31 Caring Corner, a food pantry at Fields Middle School that offers non-
perishable items to local families.
Additionally, this summer, the Hunger Resource Network and Students Helping Students collected over 200 bags of personal care items for students. These bags, along with non-perishable food, are available at Caring Corner. To support the community, you can purchase a $35 bag of food at Sunset Foods in Northbrook; just ask the cashier to create a bag for you.
