Dear District 31 Community,

The state of Illinois has relaxed the Open Meetings Act in light of the current public health emergency.  The Open Meeting Act governs Board of Education Meetings. As a result, the District 31 Board of Education will be meeting “remotely” on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 7pm.  The board meeting agenda has been adjusted to only include essential items that need to be approved and we anticipate it to be no more than 5-10 minutes in length. No presentations or discussions have been planned.   However, although the meeting will be held remotely, it will still be “open” for our community.

  • Community members are welcome to attend remotely.  Please click here for the WNSD31 Board Meeting March 19th, 2020. You may be asked to register to use this meeting hosting service.  There is a comment section that should be available when you use this link.

  • Attendees can also dial in.

  • In addition, a google form is also being utilized as a public communication tool.

The information above will also be on our website prior to the Board Meeting. This is our first time ever hosting a Board Meeting remotely and we will use this opportunity to learn all we can about the best way to make it accessible to our community in the event we need to host a more comprehensive board meeting remotely in April.  These are unprecedented times and we appreciate your partnership as District 31 transitions to meet the needs of our community during this challenging time.  We welcome you to join us Thursday at 7pm.

Sincerely,

Dr. Erin K. Murphy, Superintendent
