Dear District 31 Community,

Happy Memorial Day weekend.  Even in the middle of these trying times, I hope this weekend will bring you times of reflection and celebration and relaxation.   This may not be the traditional end of a school year, but we look forward to celebrating in any way possible our wonderful students and staff.   Just a short message this week as we move into the long weekend.

The May Board of Education Meeting will take place remotely on Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. This meeting will be held electronically as the state of Illinois has relaxed the Open Meetings Act in light of the current public health emergency. Although the meeting will be held remotely, it will still be “open” for our community and all are welcome to attend.  The information for the Board meeting is below:

Stay tuned for new information and a new survey next week, as well as the waiver needed to keep technology at home over the summer.  Please note that we are not requiring students to keep technology over the summer.  It is simply an option we are making available to our families who intend to return to District 31 next year in light of the unusual circumstances.  If you prefer, students can return technology at the pick up/drop off event.

Have a wonderful weekend.
