A Message from North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic: Legal Assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic is hosting their inaugural virtual cooking demonstration and inviting anyone with questions about domestic violence to ask those questions to their attorneys in the chat on Tuesday, December 22 at 2 p.m. The event, How to Make Banana Bread – The Most Important Recipe You Can Learn This Holiday Season, will be hosted by Director of Domestic Violence Law Practice Rebecca Weininger will host. This cooking demonstration will include a live chat, via RingCentral, in which anyone can ask questions anonymously and seek help. No domestic violence content will be shown on the video. Guests can log on anonymously using an alias. No registration is required.
North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic partnered with the Vernon Area Public Library to develop the website www.BananaBreadHelp.com, which is a discreet way of getting critical information to victims. It is a disguise for individuals to learn about domestic violence and obtain resources for help without leaving an obvious digital trace. The cooking demonstration seeks to build on the success of the website.
