Summer Enrichment Opportunities, Free Community COVID-19 Testing Event, Community Presentation, Board of Education Meeting, Survey, PTO's Spring Celebration, and Upcoming Events
April 9, 2021
Dear District 31 Community,
An exciting benefit of this year has been the many different community partnerships that have formed. Our PTO has arranged several fundraisers at local restaurants that benefit both local businesses and our schools. We have had COVID-19 testing partnership and partnerships with our local school districts to share ideas, resources, and even vaccine opportunities.
One of our new partnerships is with the Center for Gifted out of Northern Illinois University to offer summer enrichment opportunities for Field and Winkelman students. We encourage our families to check out the information about this program. View the flyer and register below.
The District was pleased to be part of the community partnership COVID-19 testing event earlier this week to help continue to keep our community safe. The partnership is continuing Monday, April 12 from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. with a Free Community COVID-19 Testing Event in the Field parking lot. This is a free community service that will take place outside and away from students and staff entering the building to ensure safety. View Flyer.
The District is also excited to announce another upcoming community partnership “Enough with the Consequences”, a presentation by Dr. Ross Greene. The presentation will take place May 4 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. District 31 is partnering with CATCH and a number of other local school districts for the presentation with Dr. Greene, a best-selling author and psychologist who will teach all of us a more peaceful approach to interacting with our kids.
