12/11 Message from Dr. April Miller

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is our last week of school before a two week break. We wish all of our families a restful and joyful winter season! Here are a few notes for the week.

Physical and Health Education
Every year students in grades 6th-8th receive health education through physical education classes. The program stresses the importance of responsible, personal decision making and selecting a healthy lifestyle. This year we are working with health educators from Robert Crown to provide the sex education component of the health curriculum to all grades.  Please click this link for more information on the upcoming lessons on January 7 and 8.

Attendance

  • All Students: If your student is going to be absent for any reason or amount of time, please call the Field Office 847-313-4449 to report the absence. We take attendance every period of the day and we are finding that some students are not attending all of their classes. Although Mr. Cooper contacts parents and guardians of students with 3 or more unexcused absences each week, you check your student’s attendance for the day or individual class periods by logging into Skyward. If you need any assistance with Skyward, please contact Mrs. Maloney at amaloney@district31.net or 847-313-4449.
