Band, MAP Testing, Tiger Athletics, ABC Countdown, Field 5K, 8th Grade Festivities and Opportunities, PTO, STEM Mini Camp, and Important Dates

Dear Parents and guardians,

Just a few notes this week…

Our District 31 bands will perform on Wednesday, May 11 in the Field Auditorium. We hope you can join us for an evening of beautiful music.

MAP Testing
District 31 participates in a comprehensive, local benchmark assessment program that measures student achievement and growth, as well as providing needed information for instruction and curricular efficacy. District 31 students will participate in NWEA MAP and aimswebPlus this spring. Field will administer MAP tests on May 11 and 12. Testing will be done the first thing each morning; students will report directly to their Advisory instead of their first period. Please click here to see the district assessment plan and schedule.

Tiger Athletics

  • Tuesday, May 10 @Wilmette
  • Thursday, May 12 @Caruso

ABC Countdown
The countdown to the end of the year has begun! Please encourage your Tiger to participate in this fun school-wide tradition. Click this link for this year’s themes.

Field 5K
Attention parents of 6th graders!  Next week, the 6th grade students will participate in a Bucket Battle as part of our preparation for our 5K race which raises funds for the Field Student Council, the District 31 PTO, and for the Dan Razes Scholarship Fund (awarded to former Field Students).  This bucket battle is part of Field's dedication to service to the school and our community.  The rules of the Bucket Battle are as follows:  This upcoming Monday May 9th through Friday May 13th, students may bring in coins and dollar bills for charity and place them in Advisory class buckets!  Each advisory is on a mission to achieve the highest point value and be the winner!  All coins donated in the buckets will award positive points to a class.  All dollar bills will subtract or provide negative points to a class's total. Therefore, any students bringing dollar bills to donate, should place them in other classes' buckets to ensure that their class's total will be the highest at the end of the challenge!  Let the games begin!

Attention 7th and 8th grade parents:
Stay tuned for more information about 7th and 8th grade Bucket Battle challenges and an all school Raffle to raise money for the Field Student Council, the District 31 PTO, and for the Dan Razes Scholarship Fund in the upcoming weeks!
